Ntingwe is currently being run as a special catalytic project by the
Agribusiness Development Agency (ADA)
Which is an entity of the provincial department f agriculture and rural development (DARD) responsible for such projects within the KZN province. A future governance and oversight arrangement for Ntingwe tea estate will be finalised once processes of the ongoing amalgamation of agricultural entities in the province have been concluded.
The ADA office of the COO (Chief Operation Officer) is currently responsible for the oversight of operation at Ntingwe Tea Estate, which entails Ntingwe being managed and implemented by the ADA as a special project under the crops/agro-processing implementing unit within the operations branch of the ADA. Other units such as Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Finance & Information Technology and Communication also play key supporting roles for compliance monitoring and resources provisioning and procurement for the tea estate.
